1. Log in and data administration

To log in to the KauppakamariVerkko, click the top bar. Once you have logged in, you can edit your company data using the top bar: you can update your account data such as name, address and password.

2. Search the site

Search bar: use the search at the top of the site to look up information. You can choose whether you want to search the entire site or just look up information on companies by selecting the appropriate tab. When you start writing text in the field, the search engine automatically suggests words for you. You can use the ‘What are you searching for?’ field to look up information by company, person, product or field of activity and the ‘From where are you searching?’ field to look up information by province, municipality, city or Chamber of Commerce. You can also save your search as an alert. Use the Alert Service in the top bar to view your previous searches made with the search bar with the 'Save as alert' box checked.

3. Site content

Use the menu bar on KauppkamariVerkko’s main page to navigate.

• Member companies: You can browse the list of members of all Finnish Chambers of Commerce. To check the details of an individual company, click its name. To edit your own company data and insert advertisements, you must first log in to the service and then access your company page. If your company has ordered the extra service kit, you can also update your company data and add new contact persons, product presentations and a company presentation. Additionally, a company can receive references issued by another company to be posted on their own page and look for network partners among other companies.
  • To access the ‘Add company as partner’ function, you need the extra service kit if you want the partnership to be displayed on your own page. Use the search bar to look up the company you are interested in and access its contact details to send a request for partnership. The prospective partner can either accept or reject your request. If the company accepts your request, the information will be shown under ‘Network companies’.
  • References. If you want the references to be displayed on your company page, you need to buy the extra service kit. When you look up the preferred company using the general search, click ‘Write reference’ next to the company name. After the reference is written, the company involved may accept or reject it. You can also request a reference from another company by clicking the bar in the general view of the company details.
• Use the Advertisements page to browse advertisements posted by other companies. The advertisements are displayed in chronological order. Companies that have bought the extra service kit can post their own advertisements. Give the advertisement a heading that will be visible to all. Write the text in the text field. You can edit the text and insert images using a simple edit bar at the top. You can also choose whether the advertisement will be visible to all or just registered users. Finally, specify the period of time the advertisement will be displayed, the maximum being one year (12 months).
• The Chambers of Commerce page lists all the Chambers of Commerce in Finland. Each Chamber has a dedicated web page complete with basic data.
• The Company presentation page gives access to the presentations of individual companies. The main page also provides a direct link to the latest presentations with the most frequently viewed presentations listed below. Companies fitting various themes and topics are highlighted in KauppakamariVerkko with article-type presentations . Companies wishing to have their presentations displayed in the services can express their interest by writing to kauppakamariverkko@helsinki.chamber.fi.
• The Topical information page shows news, articles and bulletins from across Finland. The same topical content can be accessed via the Topical box on the main page. The latest bulletins are displayed on the main page. To view older news, click the Archive link.
• The ’Foreign business contacts page’ allows you to browse foreign business contacts. A direct link to the latest information is also provided from the ‘Business contacts’ link on the main page.

4. Financial indicators

The main page allows you to view various financial indicators such as movements in the Euribor, penalty interest and base interest rates. A pull-down menu allows you to determine the range of dates from one week to 12 months.

5. Forum and social utility

The latest contributions to the forum can be accessed via the box on the main page. Use the tab to select which section you wish to view. The forum lists a range of subjects for discussion. The social utility provides direct links to the website of all Chambers of Commerce that have created such sites on Facebook or Twitter.
